From November 30 to December 2, 2021, a team consisting of two (2) members from Dhaka head office visited Chhaygaon, Shariatpur to monitor and follow up GramClean project activities.

The team visited two schools after the COVID-19 pandemic. The school activities were post-ponded from March 2020. Team members distributed note books and pens among the school students to motivate them how to use classified waste bins and what are the benefits of waste management.   

The team also had a meeting with the local advisory committee members in order to know their suggestions or opinions so that the project can be self-sustainable.

The team participated in another courtyard meeting with the group of community people who have been taking our services but still non-subscriber. After this meeting, they assured with their affirmative consent that from now on they will pay subscriptions on regular basis.

Within this time, the team distributed new baskets to the beneficiaries who are the regular subscribers of the project. The team also set some new bins beside the road as well as in the market area.

The visit was ended with a hope to make Chhaygaon “A Waste Free Village”.
