On January 23, 2023 – A meeting took place virtually as per scheduled date where the Assistant Coordinator of Global Communications Center (GCC), Grameen Communications presented the overall project activities to the CEO of Three-S Corporation, Japan; top management (Mr. Mituru Kuroki & Mr. Akira Sugano) of Moriya Sangyo, Japan; Rafiqul Islam Maruf, PhD, Associate Professor of Kyushu University, Japan and Senior Operations Manager of Grameen Communications, Bangladesh.

A short presentation on the project activities under GramClean Pilot Program was presented during the meeting. The partners of GramClean project exchanged their views to make the project sustainable.

The top management of Moriya Sangyo primarily expressed their primary interest to be a part of GramClean project as a partner. They also demonstrated a unique machine to squeeze the large volume of plastic waste which could be useful in GramClean project. The machine would help to store the large volume of waste effortlessly.

Finally, the meeting was ended with smiles with a hope to continue this initiative with the support of new partners. All the parties are looking forward to working together in order to develop a sustainable waste management model of Bangladesh leading to “Waste Free Villages”.
